Is Hubli - Dharwad all set to become the next automobile hub?
Going by the developments in the past couple of years, it seems that Hubli - Dharwad is all set to become the next automobile hub.
The Tata Marcopolo Motors bus plant is already operational at Dharwad and is manufacturing luxury buses. Dharwad was also a preffered choice for the Tata Nano plant, which was eventually set up in Gujarat. With Hero Honda setting up its plant here, things are set to change. The proximity of Dharwad to Belgaum is an added advantage.
